Ad Nonam is Tenuta Mosole's greatest wine — named after the ninth Roman milestone on the road between Oderzo and Concordia Sagittaria, the ancient site that gave birth to the village of Annone Veneto. Three hectares of the estate's oldest Merlot vines, grown in the richest clay soils, are dedicated solely to this wine. Aged 24 months in French oak barriques, it consistently earns 96 points from Luca Maroni.
Intense dazzling ruby red. The nose is powerful and expressive: ripe black cherry, plum, dark chocolate, and tobacco, evolving toward earthy, mineral complexity. On the palate it is rich and enveloping with velvety tannins, excellent balance, and a long, layered finish of vanilla, spice, and dried fruit. A wine that rewards patience — open it an hour before serving.
Roast beef fillet, braised lamb shank, beef carpaccio with truffle, aged hard cheeses (Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Stagionato), and rich mushroom-based dishes. Also exceptional on its own as a meditation wine.
