Hora Sexta 2019 DOC VENEZIA SELEZIONE

Hora Sexta was Tenuta Mosole's first "reserve" wine, created to make a great red from the varietals most typical of Northeast Veneto. The name recalls the midday banquet — the moment to sit at the table and enjoy food and conviviality. A wine of Carmenere and Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in French oak barriques, it is Veneto red wine at its most authentic.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red. The nose is complex and inviting: balsamic notes, red fruit, black pepper, and a characteristic herbaceous freshness that is the hallmark of great Veneto Cabernet Franc. Velvet on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent, slightly spiced finish.

Food Pairing

Roast lamb, braised beef, game meats, venison, and aged hard cheeses. The balsamic quality makes it a beautiful match for dishes with rosemary and bay leaf.
